AFJROTC Ground School Program continues to soar
AFJROTC Ground School Program continues to soar
Columbia High School AFJROTC Ground School students are preparing for their FAA tests. We are very proud of the perseverance of these cadets in seeking certification as aircraft pilots and/or drone operators.
Boeing predicts an annual need to hire 6,000 civilian pilots a year for the next 20 years. The military needs quickly push that number over 8,000. According to industry and military leadership, the nation is facing a pilot shortage “crisis."
These cadets now qualify to apply for the Air Force Junior ROTC Flight Academy.
Since these cadets are a part of the Ground School program, they wear a different uniform reflecting their aviation designation.
Thank you to Major Hammond and Sgt. Gaffney for your support of our students in this endeavor. We wish these cadets the best of luck on their FAA test.
