As we work to move through these unprecedented times, one of our goals is to assist parents and guardians as they adjust to the effects of COVID-19. To accomplish this, Hopkins Middle School will provide school supplies to all students for the 2020-2021 school term. The following items will be distributed to our students: book bags, earbuds, post-it note pads, flash drives (4GB), index cards, glue sticks composition notebooks, notebook paper, dividers, folders (3-prong), pens, pencils, color pencils, markers, highlighters, and rulers. You will be notified of the date and time for supplies pick-up prior to the school's reopening.
Please remember that you must register your returning students and new students by going to the Richland School District One website at Richland One and by clicking on the Parent Portal. There are now two options for enrolling students:
- Phase-In Model: Under the Phase-In Model, we will begin the school year with eLearning due to Richland County's current COVID-19 rating of High Risk. We will transition to the hybrid and transitional models when the risk level decreases, as determined by the SC Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC).
- Richland One Virtual School Program Model: Parents can opt to enroll their children in our R1 Virtual School Program (K-12), which is a year-long commitment. For information about the plan see ww.richlandone.org/restartstrong.
