Congratulations to senior Tyra Helper. She has been awarded a QuestBridge College Match Scholarship to Rice University in Houston, Texas, where she intends to major in mechanical engineering.
Tyra's QuestBridge College Match Scholarship is a full-ride, four-year generous financial aid package which covers the cost of tuition and fees, housing and food, books and supplies, and travel expenses - a value of well over $300,000.
As a junior last year, Tyra was selected for the QuestBridge College Prep Scholars Program. She ranks among the top ten in the Dreher Class of '24 and entered her senior year with an outstanding 5.224 GPA.
Tyra is the daughter of Veronica Helper and Telvin Amaker.
