Our Scores Exceed National, State Averages

Advanced Placement Exam Results
Dreher students set a school record last spring when 335 Blue Devils took 736 AP exams. Seventy-four percent (73.6%) of these exams were passed with a score of 3 or higher (5 is the highest schore). Scores of 3 or higher indicate students who are qualified or well qualified to take college-level courses. Dreher students outperformed both the state (58%) and the national (57%) averages in percentage of exams with a score of 3 or higher.
SAT Results
The mean SAT score for Dreher seniors graduating in May 2018 was 1118, comprised of scores of 569 in Evidence-based Reading and Writing (ERW) and 548 in Math. These scores bettered the state average of 1064 and the national average of 1049. Sixty-six percent of Dreher's class of 2018 took the SAT versus 45% statewide.
ACT Results
The mean composite ACT score for Dreher seniors graduating in May 2018 was 19.3, the average of subscores of 18.5 in English, 19.2 in Math, 19.6 in Reading and 19.1 in Science. These scores bettered the state average composite score of 18.3, as well as each individual subscore (17.3 in English, 18.2 in Math, 18.6 in Reading and 18.5 in Science).
