Important Champion Raider Class of 2020 Information (Seniors!)

Hello Champion Class of 2020,
 
Please read important information below. This was shared in our virtual senior class meeting on Friday, May 8, 2020.
 
 
Graduation Is Friday, June 5 – The Stadium at W.J. Keenan
 
W.J. Keenan High School – 8:00 a.m.
 
Each graduating senior will receive two tickets for family members to attend. No other guests will be admitted into the stadiums. Seniors will walk across the stage to receive their diplomas. Social distancing and other health and safety protocols will be enforced.
 
The graduation ceremonies will be livestreamed and recorded.
 
 June 8-9, 2020 are the make-up days due to weather.
 
 
Caps - You will be allowed to decorate caps. (Decorations have to be on the cap. Nothing offensive.)
 
Information regarding practice and other details will be emailed and placed on our website by May 22, 2020. Make sure you check your email and share information with your friends as you receive it.
 
CAP & Gown Assistance - Call Rhodes Jostens at 803-485-4503
 
Yearbooks – You will be able order your yearbooks online. They will be mailed to your address from the company. The cost is less than $50.

Senior Superlatives – An email will be sent out today for seniors to vote. This survey must be completed by Monday, May 11, 2020. If you are selected, you will be asked to send in a photo for the yearbook.

Corona Photos – If you have cool pictures of things you have been doing while at home during COVID-19, send them to Ms. Lakeyseah Brennan (lakeyseah.brennan@richlandone.org) for the yearbook. This need to be done by Monday, May 11. 2020.
 
Senior Check Out Day – May 27 – 28, Wednesday – Thursday. During this time, you will turn in books, laptop, uniforms, and pay fees. Each senior will receive an appointment time to practice social distancing. You will also receive a letter with this information.
 
Please see the attached file for your Senior Check Out Day  appointment time.
 
E-mail from Ms. Humphrey – Make sure you review an email from Ms. Humphrey, which was sent on April 30, 2020. This email included a PPT detailing items that need to be completed by May 15, 2020.
 
All assignments for seniors are due on Friday, May 15, 2020. This is critical. You have to complete your assignments.
 
Senior and prom dues will be refunded. An email will be sent out regarding details.
 
 

Opportunities as a result of COVID – 19

 

  • Manufacturing Personal Protection Equipment (Masks, face shields, etc.)
  • Cleaning and disinfectant businesses
  • Contact tracing (Recording people who have been in contact with a person who has been diagnosed with a virus.)
  • Anything in healthcare (Nurses, home health, Doctors, etc.)
  • Lab Jobs (companies will be testing, developing treatments, etc.)
  • Online Entertainment (Hosting events through zoom, Ex. Getting paid to set up Zoom Meetings for Mother’s Day)
  • Youtube Channel (New people are using social media more than ever)
  • College
  • Military
