Leon Wang Finishes in Top 154 of National Chemistry Olympiad
Junior Leon Wang (left in the photo) has placed among the top 154 in the National Chemistry Olympiad. He and Michael Shimizu (right in the photo) represented South Carolina in the national competition.
The U.S. National Chemistry Olympiad national exam is a 3-part, 4 hour and 45 minute exam administered by Local Sections of the American Chemical Society (ACS). More than 1000 students participate in this exam each year. The exam includes multiple choice questions, problem solving, and a lab practical.
Chemistry teacher Elizabeth Link is starting a Chemistry Olympiad Training Team to encourage more Dreher students to compete.
