Please be advised that Monday, November 25th will be a makeup day for Richland One students. As you know, our schools and administrative offices were closed September 5 as a precaution due to the forecast for high wind speeds and gusts from Hurricane Dorian, which would have posed hazardous travel conditions for school buses and other vehicles.
Now that November 25th will be a make-up day for students and staff, our Thanksgiving Break will begin on Tuesday, November 26th. November 25th was the first of four make-up days designated in the 2019-2020 calendar. The remaining make-up days (if needed) are November 26, March 20 and April 10.
Also, please be advised of the following revisions to the 2019-2020 calendar unrelated to the hurricane makeup day:
Instead of parent-teacher conferences being held on October 31st, they will be held on October 30th as follows: elementary (3:30-6:30 p.m.), middle (4:15-7:15 p.m.) and high (5:00-8:00 p.m.). Parents will receive additional information about parent-teacher conferences from their children’s schools. Report cards will be issued as scheduled on October 30.
October 31 will remain a professional development day; no school for students
Students will be dismissed early on June 5th, which is the last day of school for students.
