Eau Claire High School’s Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Program is seeking truck drivers and other transportation professionals to be virtual presenters at its third annual Transportation Career Day on March 12 from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Eau Claire Principal Neshunda Walters believes this virtual career day will not only benefit Eau Claire students, but also companies seeking future CDL drivers.
“This is a win-win opportunity for our students and businesses,” Walters said. “CDL truck drivers are in high demand. Eau Claire, which has the first high school CDL training program in South Carolina, is building a pipeline of entry-level truck drivers. Employees in the transportation field can share their career experiences and possibly recruit our students as future employees.”
Transportation employees interested in participating in the Virtual Transportation Career Day must register by March 1 at this link: https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=mc2OcflqA0eiK-33pL7Y3VLmub1qDrpOqL1uL7kEptNUNENJOTYzQldIR0daTkJIRDRYODdTT0pRUi4u.
