Richland One to Host College and Career Planning Events for Parents and Students

High school juniors and seniors have many options to consider when trying to determine what path to take after graduation: Should they choose college or a technical school, enlist in the military or go directly into the workforce? Students and parents seeking answers to those questions can get a head start at several district events this fall.

2019 Richland One College and Career Fair: September 5

Richland One students will have the opportunity to network with representatives from colleges and universities, military branches and businesses from across the nation at the 2019 Richland One College and Career Fair on Thursday, September 5. Representatives will provide information on the admissions process, scholarships and other financial assistance. Parents and guardians are encouraged to attend. The Fair will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Carolina Coliseum, 701 Assembly Street.

Parents or guardians planning to attend the College and Career Fair must get a visitor’s pass from their child’s high school prior to the event. They must show the visitor’s pass in order to enter the Coliseum. Parents needing additional information should contact their child’s high school counseling department or the district’s School Counseling Services Office at (803) 231-6940.
