Richland One Offering Children Free Meals This Summer

Again this summer, Richland One will be offering free meals to children in conjunction with the federally-funded Summer Food Service Program.

From June 10 through August 2, meals will be available at designated schools throughout the district. Any child is welcome to go to one of the schools for a nutritious breakfast and lunch at no cost to them or their parents. Children simply go to any of the designated sites and ask for a meal.

Churches, community centers and other nonprofit organizations that provide a summer camp or program for children are encouraged to take the children to one of the designated school sites for a meal. A list of the designated sites with their addresses, start dates and other details will be posted on the district’s website, www.richlandone.org. The list will be updated as more sites are added.

Parents or organizations that would like more information should contact Richland One Student Nutrition Services at (803) 231-6953. Media inquiries should be directed to the Richland One Office of Communications at 231-7510 or 231-7504.
