Richland One Families Encouraged to Download My Ride K-12 App
Richland One parents and guardians are encouraged to download the My Ride K-12 mobile app on their phones before students go back to school August 8.
The My Ride K-12 app allows parents and guardians to receive notifications about their children’s bus routes on their phone. Richland One Student Transportation Services rolled out the My Ride K-12 app in January.
Through the app, parents will be sent an alert of the estimated time of arrival (ETA) of their child’s bus. The district can also send important and timely push notifications through the app, such as notifying parents of a late bus, the use of a substitute bus or a bus accident. Parents must stay logged in to the app to receive push notifications from Student Transportation Services in real time.
Parents and guardians can access the free app by searching for My Ride K-12 in the App Store (Apple iOS) or Google Play for Android. They will need to install the app and register in the app. When asked to find a school district, parents should search for Richland County School District One.
Parents and guardians who previously downloaded the Traversa Ride 360 app and downloaded My Ride K-12 before May 1, 2024 should have their usernames and passwords carried over. Those who previously downloaded the Traversa Ride 360 app but did not download My Ride K-12 before May 1, 2024 will need to create a new account.
This service is only available for state school buses/routes. Richland One district programs/buses (such as magnet choice programs, Heyward Career and Technology Center and ESOL programs) do not have this service available at this time.
Richland One parents and guardians who have any questions about the app or their child’s bus route can contact the student transportation call centers at the following numbers between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday:
- North Hub – (803) 691-5590 – Columbia High School, Eau Claire High School, C.A. Johnson High School and W.J. Keenan High School, as well as their feeder elementary and middle schools
- South Hub – (803) 695-5499 – A.C. Flora High School, Dreher High School and Lower Richland High School, as well as their feeder elementary and middle schools
Please note that call center staff will be involved in a mandatory training August 1 and 2. Your call may go to voicemail those two days, but leave a message and your call will be returned.
