W.J. Keenan High School senior Jadann Hill has been named a 2024 Coca-Cola Scholar semifinalist. The Coca-Cola Scholars Program is the largest corporate-sponsored, achievement-based scholarship program in the United States.
Jadann was one of 1,514 students from across the country named a semifinalist based on academic excellence, leadership and service demonstrated in school and community activities. She plans to attend North Carolina Central University to study anatomy after graduating in May.
“I am blessed to be chosen as one of the semifinalists out of thousands of high school students throughout the nation who applied for this scholarship. If I am named a Coca-Cola Scholar, I hope that I will serve as an inspiration to other students who wish to attend college and keep following their path,” Jadann said.
The program’s reading committee is reviewing applications from the semifinalists. After the review, 250 students will advance as regional finalists. Of those, 150 will be named Coca-Cola Scholars and receive $20,000 scholarships.
In addition to the scholarships, Coca-Cola Scholars will be “welcomed into a vibrant community of alumni that has become a powerful force for positive change in the world.”
