W.J. Keenan High Graduate Awarded Dr. Percy A. Mack Leadership Scholarship

Aniyah Hodges, who graduated in May from W.J. Keenan High School, has been awarded the 2023 Dr. Percy A. Mack Leadership Scholarship.

The $1,000 scholarship is awarded annually to a Richland One high school senior who demonstrates leadership skills and potential, as well as well-rounded involvement in co-curricular activities. The scholarship is named in honor of Dr. Percy A. Mack, who served as the district’s superintendent from 2008-2014.

At Keenan, Aniyah served as the student body president and as president of the Math Honor Society. She also was Miss Keenan 2023.

Aniyah is still deciding which college she will attend to pursue her undergraduate degree. She aspires to become a pediatrician, and she plans to start a non-profit organization for young minority girls who are interested in the medical field.
