Richland One to Provide Free Meals to Children at 27 Sites This Summer, June 13–July 28

Again this summer, Richland One will provide free meals to any child age 18 or younger, regardless of their school district attendance zone, through the federally-funded Summer Food Service Program.

From June 13 through July 28, depending on the site, meals will be available Monday through Thursday in 27 locations throughout the district. Breakfast will be served from 7:45 – 9 a.m. and lunch will be available from 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. All other meals must be eaten on site, since there are no pick-up options available this summer.

Richland One’s Summer SOAR program and camp participants will be fed at one of the 27 locations. Non-program participants are encouraged to receive breakfast and lunch daily at the four sites listed below, but they also may receive meals at any of the other locations:

  • Carver-Lyon Elementary School    2100 Waverly Street, Columbia, SC 29204
  • Eau Claire High School                    4800 Monticello Road, Columbia, SC 29203
  • Lower Richland High School           2615 Lower Richland Blvd, Hopkins, SC 29061
  • St. Andrews Middle School              1231 Bluefield Road, Columbia, SC 29210
