I believe that all classrooms should be a warm, inviting community where all students are comfortable. Students should have the confidence to share their thoughts, feelings, and opinions with their classmates within this community. Students come to school to not only grow academically, but socially and emotionally as well, and we should support them in their journey!
I believe that children must have their passions supported along with their learning. When students see themselves, and their interests, represented in their work, they are more likely to be invested, and to succeed. Students in my classroom have the opportunity to have a say in their education.
My philosophy of education is that all children are unique, resilient, and must have an invigorating educational environment where they can grow physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially. I believe my role as an educator is to nurture and encourage the lifelong learning of my students. I have a strong belief that all students can learn and it is my desire to create an atmosphere where students can meet their greatest potential. I will provide a safe learning environment where students are invited to share their ideas and take risks to encourage growth. Through hands-on activities, classroom discussion, and even the use of humor, I hope to motivate students to think creatively and explore their natural curiosity. I want all of my students to feel that no question is too silly to ask and no task is too hard to conquer.
