October Updates from Guidance

October has truly come in with its long agenda of events. This month the School Counseling Program will be recognizing the following:

Fire Prevention Week (October 4th – October 10th).  A virtual Fire Safety Presentation will take place for grades K-2nd.  Fire Safety Resources will be provided on the School Counseling Group page.  Students in grades PreK-2nd can submit entries for our CRES Virtual Fire Safety Presentation by October 20th. Please reference the flyer that was sent to your grade level for the criteria.



Red Ribbon Week (October 23rd –October 31st )  Red Ribbon Week Resources will be provided on the School Counseling Group page.  Early kick off for Red Ribbon Week will start on Wednesday, October 21st “ CRES RED-Y Day” – We are asking everyone to wear RED clothing to represent being ready to be BRAVE to say NO to drugs and live a happy drug free life!  On Friday, October 23rd “Put a Cap on Drugs Day” -we are asking everyone to wear a cap to show that they will think about the harmful effects drugs have on the body and mind.  Students in grades 3rd -4th can submit entries for our CRES Virtual Red Ribbon Week Presentation by October October 20th . Please reference the flyer that was sent to your grade level for the criteria.

Bullying Prevention Month- (October 5th –October 31st)  A bullying tip will be provided for the weeks of October 12th, October 19th & October 26th.  Bullying Resources will be provided on the School Counseling Group page.  Virtual Bullying Prevention Spirit Week will take place October 26th –October 30th.  Students in grade 5th can submit entries for our CRES Virtual Bullying Prevention Presentation by Friday, October 23rd. Please reference the flyer that was sent to your grade level for the criteria.
