    Dear Member of the Olympia Learning Center Community,

    Tuesday, March 24th Governor Henry McMaster and State Superintendent of Education Molly Spearman announced that all South Carolina schools will remain closed through April 30, 2020, due to ongoing concerns about the spread of the coronavirus throughout the state.

    We understand that this global public health crisis brings with it a lot of unknowns and a high level of stress and anxiety for many, but we’re all in this together and we can get through this together. We want our schools to reopen as soon as possible, but the health and safety of our students, staff and community remain our top priorities.

    New: Parents and Students:

    You will have an Opportunity to drop off any completed work to your teachers on Thursday April 9th. The drop off time will be from 9:00am- 1:00pm. There will be a Bin placed in front of the school at the fountain for you to place your completed work in. The completed work will be sorted and given to your teachers for grading.

    New:  e-Learning will continue while schools are closed.  Please notice our e-Learning tab is now present on the Olympia Learning Center page.  Please notice all menu items and folders populate on the LEFT. 


    Teachers will be available to support eLearning during their office hours 9:30-11 and 1-3 PM Monday  - Friday and by request via Zoom meeting.


    New: Look for information on regular Zoom Office Hours for the week of April 20th.  


    New: All students, faculty and staff will observe Richland One's Spring Break beginning Friday, April 10th and continuing the next week.  Students will resume eLearning April 20th.


    NEW: For this week ending April 3rd our teachers have prepared daily work for all content areas in the form of a packet of materials which will be mailed to all who were unable to pick up or a complete set of work materials will be placed in our eLearning portal.  See the 2nd tab at the top of our web page and notice navigation to specific classes on the LEFT hand side of the page. 


    Beginning March 26th, Richland One will provide wifi enabled buses in locations throughout the District to serve as hotspots for students.  See Richland One homepage or click here.

    Please note that while there is no school for students please contact us as soon as possible to make arrangements to recieve any initial school work packets not yet picked up (803) 400-1650 or nathan.white@richlandone.org

    New:  Please click on the School Counseling tab for a special message from our Counselors including information which relates to our students' social and emotional needs and their understanding of current issues.

    Any student who is currently enrolled in an Edgenuity course and can access the internet via their phone or device is asked to continue their course of study. As a reminder, E2020 logins are typically your student number @r1student.org or your student number@r1student.orgCA

    For any other questions regarding District Issued devices please contact Richland One Help Desk (803) 231-7436 from 7:00 am - 5 pm, Monday-Friday.

    As a resource, our teachers at Olympia will be providing Daily Office Hours during which they will respond to emailed questions from students.  Emails for all faculty and staff are located on our website.  Those hours are: 9:30-11 AM and again from 1-3 PM Monday-Friday.  Teachers may also be able to meet with student via Zoom by request.

    New: Richland One will continue to provide food services for students during the next weeks at several locations mentioned in the highlighted link.  Look to the announcement in the included link or on the Richland One home page for changes in upcoming food service provision for students.  Parents/Guardians are being asked to complete a form.
