Greetings Eagle Families and Community,
My name is Alexandria Williams and I am ecstatic to introduce myself as the new principal of Hopkins Middle School. It is truly an honor to serve you and become a part of the Hopkins Middle School family and community.
I am a product of Richland County School District One and I have had the honor of growing in Richland One for 19 years as an adult learner and educator. I spent 15 years in the classroom teaching science at the middle and high school levels. Most recently I served as an assistant principal for 4 years at W.G. Sanders Middle School.
I am married to Thaddeus Williams. We have two sons, Jayden and Jackson. We attend Zion Mill Creek Baptist Church.
Thank you to our staff and community for the many strengths I have already begun to learn about our amazing school. I strongly believe that it takes a village to raise a child, and I am glad that we play an integral part in that village. Let us continue to keep our students the primary focus of our work as we continue to excel in academics, athletics, and the arts.
I believe in the Three R’s: Respect, Responsibility, and Results. You, our families, our students, our teachers, our staff, and our community are worthy of respect, we all share the responsibility of educating our students, and we expect nothing less than the BEST.
Everyone has a voice; your voice matters. I would like to invite you join our School Improvement Council and PTA. My door is always open, I look forward to meeting you soon. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions, comments, concerns, or ideas you would like to share. I can't wait to celebrate our collective successes this school year. Again, I am truly honored to be given this opportunity and look forward to working with you soon. Let's Get Ready to Soar!
