    The National Honor Society would like to recognize Alton McCoy, a new inductee, for his role in the annual holiday treat bag project at Palmetto Health Baptist Parkridge. He volunteered his free time during the winter break to help life the spirits of those who are in the hospital during the holidays. He shopped and packed holiday treat bags for patients at the hospital. Thank you for your service Alton!     Out of school service opportunities:

    • 1. Forest Acres Festival (working with the FA Rotary Club) Saturday, May 18th (hours would be for next year).  There are two roles needed, clean up crew and social media crew.  Contact Mrs. Purdy lindsay.purdy@richlandone.org if you are available this date.
    • 2. Tutoring 6th and 7th graders at Midlands Art Conservatory.  If available Tuesdays and Thursdays contact Mrs. Purdy if you are available.

    Reminders:  Meetings are every second Monday in Mrs. Purdy's room.  If you miss more than three meetings you may be removed from the club.  Service Hours for spring (4 total) are due to Mrs. Purdy no later than March 29th.  If they are turned in late you will need to do an extra hour of service for each week they are late.  In addition, if you are a senior you will not get your NHS tassel at senior night.  You will have to see Mrs. Purdy to get it.
