Welcome Back to School from your principal, Dr. OC!
Dear Rhame Elementary School Families,
As we prepare to kick off a new school year, I am delighted to welcome each of you to what promises to be a year filled with learning, growth, and achievement at Rhame Elementary. Whether you are returning to us or joining our community for the first time, we are excited to embark on this journey together.
To ensure a successful academic year, I encourage you to prioritize the following:
1. Daily Reading: Set aside 20-30 minutes each day for your child to read. Whether it’s a favorite book, a magazine, or a new adventure, reading enriches the mind and expands horizons.
2. Practice Basic Math Skills: Dedicate time daily for your child to practice basic math facts, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Building a strong foundation in math is essential for future success in more complex concepts.
3. Visit Educational Institutions: Take advantage of local resources like the library to check out books and explore new topics. Libraries offer a wealth of knowledge and opportunities for discovery.
4. Stay Connected: Stay informed about school news, updates, and your child’s progress through platforms like Class Dojo and other school communication channels. Unity in learning requires active engagement and communication between home and school.
At Rhame Elementary, we are committed to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment where every child feels valued and inspired to excel. Together, let’s make this school year one of collaboration, exploration, and achievement. Our dedicated team of educators is here to support your child’s growth and development every step of the way.
Thank you for entrusting us with your child’s education. I look forward to partnering with you to ensure a successful and rewarding school year for all.
Warm regards,
Dr. Monica Owens Carter, Principal
