A Message from the Principal

  • Dear Parents and Community

Welcome back to another exciting school year! As we embark on this new journey together, I am thrilled to share our theme for the year: “Leopards Spotted in Excellence.” This theme embodies our commitment to recognizing and nurturing the outstanding achievements and potential of every student at our school.

At Logan, we believe that every student has unique talents and strengths, just like the distinctive spots on a leopard. Our dedicated staff is committed to creating an environment where these talents can be discovered, nurtured, and celebrated. Whether in academics, arts, athletics, or character development, we are here to support and guide our students toward excellence.

Our goals for this year include:
    - Academic Excellence: Providing high-quality instruction and fostering a love for learning.
    - Social and Emotional Growth: Ensuring a safe and supportive environment where every student feels valued.
    - Community Engagement: Strengthening the partnership between home and school to support our students’ success.

As we prepare for the year ahead, I encourage you to stay engaged and involved in your child’s education. Attend school events, volunteer when you can, and maintain open lines of communication with our teachers and staff. Together, we can make this school year a memorable and successful one.

Thank you for your continued support and partnership. Let’s work together to make this a year where every leopard is spotted in excellence!

    Warm regards,

    David Copeland Jr.

  • The Leopards Arch

Logan ElementaryLogan Elementary is proud to present our newest addition... The Leopards Arch. This art is comprised of the handprints of our extraordinary staff and students symbolizing all hands make the success of one.

In February of 2020, artist Bob Doster worked with our Logan Leopards to create a piece of art that represents the stature of Logan Elementary School. Staff and students from all grade levels had the opportunity to trace their hands, get it cut out, to form an archway of two leopards leaping towards each other. This is a depiction of the Logan Elementary School’s mission to rise above and reach new heights through unity in our “one of a kind” learning environment.  We foster our students’ learning in an art embodied environment that includes dance, visual art, music, and drama overarching an outstanding learning environment in both traditional and Montessori programs.

Along with our unique learning environment, no Leopard would be complete without the character traits of Respect, Understanding, Learning and Enthusiasm...this is how Leopards RULE!

Special thanks to our community and the Bob Doster’s Backstreet Studio Ltd. for capturing the true essence of Logan Elementary School...Education through ART.
