Visual Arts at Dreher

Dreher is proud of our unrivaled Visual Arts program.  

Two accomplished teachers - artists in their own right - offer courses in art (Art I, II, III), ceramics, photography, and Advanced Placement Art  (Studio Art/Drawing, 2D Design, 3D Design). 

*Jennifer Gorlewski is the District's lead teacher in Secondary Visual Arts and is a National Board Certified educator.  She is the sponsor of the award-winning Dreher Literary Magazine.  Mrs. Gorlewski received the prestigious Mac Arthur Goodwin Award from the Columbia Museum of Art for outstanding contributions to the field of arts education in South Carolina.  Her AP Art students won the SC Education Association's Richard P. Riley Award for their Artists for Africa Project.

*Katie Pfrommer also is a National Board Certified educator.  She is the sponsor of Dreher's National Art Honor Society.  Ms. Pfrommer is a working artist who designs and sells her creations on Etsy: The Pfrommer's Market
