    The Richland School District One follows the State of South Carolina Department of Archives and History guidelines to archive and maintain former student records of Richland School District One.

    Per District policy and the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), student records are only available to those who have authorization from the student or parent, guardian or responsible person if the student is less than 18 years of age. If the student is 18 years of age or older, school records will not be released to a parent, guardian, or responsible person without the student’s written consent.

    Requests for records and education verification of former students' information will be submitted and paid for online by visiting www.needmytranscript.com. Phone and fax requests will no longer be accepted.

    Please note the information below:

    • Charges will apply when ordering student records for alumni.
    • Current students seeking copies of records should contact their school records department.
    • Current June graduates are able to order transcripts at no charge until July 31. After that date, you will be charged as an alumni.
    • Please allow 5 business days to process online student record orders.
    • Requests for information must be completed online and will be processed during normal business days (Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-4:30 PM). During the summer, alternative business days are Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
    • Pick-up transcripts, records, etc. (Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-12:00 noon). Arrangements will be provided for afternoon pick-up. 

    Alumni, need to order your transcripts, birth certificate, or immunization records? The cost of each transcript is $5 and a copy of the birth certificate and immunization record is $1. Go to the website www.needmytranscript.com to place your order. If you don’t see your school's name, type the statement "all other schools" to proceed with your request.

    The Richland County School District One Student Records Department is responsible for the archiving of student cumulative records of former students. For your convenience, student records requests and graduation verification can now be completed online.  If you are in need of your school records for any reason, please click here and review our Frequently Asked Questions page for instructions.   Please note that we do not store records for private/community schools only for students that attended Richland School District One.  Note that phone and fax requests will not be accepted. Walk-ins are accepted by appointment between 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. with money order payments only.
