The construction section of Facility Services manages construction and renovation projects from inception through completion. The staff works with the project architects and engineers to ensure form and function of the projects. Staff members inspect and review the work of project contractors. The department managed the bond referendum projects.
The professional staff includes an architect, mechanical engineer and project mangers providing system-wide adherence to District standards. The department oversees the design and construction efforts of contracted professional architects, engineers, construction program managers and construction firms in accordance with the bond program and capital projects. Additionally, the department manages energy management for the District and is continuiously working on projects for energy savings. The staff also coordinates all building rentals.
