Meadowfield Elementary Multilingual Learning Specialist Named WIDA Fellow
Bryan Lynip, a multilingual learning specialist at Meadowfield Elementary School, has been named a 2024-2025 WIDA Fellow. The fellowship program recognizes educators in WIDA’s efforts to bring quality and equitable education to multilingual learners.
WIDA Fellows participate in one of two cohorts: the instructional experts cohort or the educational leaders cohort. Lynip, who is one of two educators from South Carolina selected for the program, will participate in the educational leaders cohort.
“I'm grateful to be chosen to represent Richland One as a WIDA Fellow this year. I am hoping that the increased interaction with WIDA and the vast network of people who work with multilingual learners will benefit our school district. I plan to bring back any knowledge and resources that I gain to our schools,” said Lynip.
WIDA Fellows serve for one year and have the option to continue for a second. Benefits of the program include a $1,000 honorarium and a waiver of the registration fee to attend the WIDA Annual Conference.
