H.B. Rhame Elementary Named 2025 Data Trailblazer Award Recipient

H.B. Rhame Elementary School has been named a 2025 Data Trailblazer award recipient in the elementary school category by the SC Education Oversight Committee (EOC).

The award is given to one elementary school, one middle school and one high school in South Carolina that demonstrate how they use data to improve student achievement and maintain a culture of school-wide data-informed decisions.

“We are truly honored to be recognized as a 2025 Data Trailblazer. This award reflects our entire school community’s commitment to using data not just to measure progress, but to drive meaningful change,” said H.B. Rhame Principal Dr. Monica Owens Carter.

“At H.B. Rhame, we believe that every data point tells a story – and those stories guide our instructional practices, inform our interventions and ultimately help each student reach their full potential.”

Schools named Data Trailblazer award recipients also demonstrate that they incorporate practices and policies that prioritize data privacy and ensure school staff are adequately trained in data security and privacy standards.

The EOC has invited representatives from H.B. Rhame to attend an upcoming meeting to share information with the committee about the school’s use of data to improve student achievement.
