Two Richland One High Schools Ranked Among ‘Best High Schools’ by U.S. News & World Report

Two Richland One high schools have been named among the “Best High Schools” in the nation by U.S. News & World Report in its 2025-2026 ranking. 

Dreher High School and A.C. Flora High School were ranked in the top 40% out of 17,901 public high schools nationwide.

U.S. News & World Report ranks the top schools based on college readiness, college curriculum breadth, state assessment proficiency, state assessment performance, underserved student performance and graduation rate.

“Dreher is proud of its Best High Schools ranking by U.S. News & World Report. This recognition is a tribute to the hard work of our students, families, teachers and staff. Our Dreher community is honored to have this national recognition,” said Dreher Principal Dr. Joe Eberlin.

In addition to the national rankings, Dreher and A.C. Flora were ranked among the top five high schools in the Columbia metropolitan area and the top 20 in South Carolina.

“We are excited to see that A.C. Flora is once again being recognized as a top school in South Carolina. The tremendous dedication of our faculty, along with the strong parent and community support, allows our students to excel. We are very proud of our academic accomplishments as well as the success in athletics and the arts,” said A.C. Flora Principal Susan Childs.
