Three Carver-Lyon Elementary Students to Perform in Southern Region ACDA’s Honor Choir

Three Carver-Lyon Elementary School fourth-grade students will perform in the Southern Region of the American Choral Directors Association’s (ACDA) honor choir.

Molly Cooper, Norah Thomas and Waverly Duck were selected for the children’s honor choir. They will be singing alongside students from 10 different states across the Southeast.

Students auditioned for the choir by singing a scale and an excerpt from a song in Latin.

The Southern Region ACDA’s honor choir concerts will be held March 4-7 in Memphis, Tennessee. 

Molly and Norah were also selected for the South Carolina chapter of the ACDA’s elementary honor choir and the South Carolina Music Educators Association’s (SCMEA) elementary honor choir.
