Ten Richland One Schools Named National Beta Club Schools of Distinction and Merit
Ten Richland One schools were recognized by the National Beta Club as Schools of Distinction or Schools of Merit for the 2024-2025 school year, with two schools earning both awards.
The School of Distinction Award honors Beta Clubs that strive towards academic achievement, exemplary character, demonstrated leadership and service to others. Beta Clubs that increased membership by 10% during 2024-2025 school year received the award.
The School of Merit Award honors a Beta Club’s dedication and commitment to academic excellence. The award is given to Beta Clubs that include members from all eligible grade levels during the school year.
St. Andrews Middle School and W.A. Perry Middle School were named Schools of Distinction and Schools of Merit.
W.J. Keenan High School and Lower Richland High School were named Schools of Distinction.
Six Richland One schools were named Schools of Merit:
- Forest Heights Elementary School
- H.B. Rhame Elementary School
- South Kilbourne Elementary School
- John P. Thomas Elementary
- Watkins-Nance Elementary School
- Columbia High School
