Richland One Esports Teams Compete in Benedict College Esports Open LAN25

Richland One’s high school esports teams competed in Benedict College’s Esports Open LAN25 September 26-27.

A.C. Flora High School’s esports team won the Rocket League tournament. This is the team’s third Rocket League championship win since Richland One’s competitive esports program started in February 2025.

Dreher High School’s esports team placed third in the Rocket League tournament and fifth in the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate tournament.

Lower Richland High School’s esports team placed fourth in the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate tournament.

W.J. Keenan High School’s esports team placed sixth in the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate tournament.

“The Benedict LAN tournament was a fantastic way to launch our Fall 2025 esports season. It was especially exciting to attend a local, in-person event, since so many of our esports competitions are held online. This was a day of wins all around for Richland One,” said Richland One esports coordinator Madalyn Hazlett.
