Richland One Announces Finalists for Top Employee Honors
Richland One Superintendent Dr. Todd Walker has announced the finalists for the district’s 2026-2027 Teacher of the Year and Classified Employee of the Year Awards.
“Our Teacher of the Year and Classified Employee of the Year finalists truly represent the dedication and passion that the Richland One team has in ensuring all students succeed. Each of these remarkable individuals play a crucial role in inspiring, educating and empowering our students to achieve their highest potential and follow their dreams,” said Dr. Walker. “Congratulations to all of the finalists and thank you for your unwavering commitment to our students.”
The new Richland One Teacher of the Year and Classified Employee of the Year will be announced May 22 during Celebration 2026, the district’s year-end employee recognition event.
Finalists for 2026-2027 Richland One Teacher of the Year
- Janett Canlas, sixth-grade social studies teacher, Alcorn Middle School
- Alexandria Fogle, first-grade teacher, Brennen Elementary School
- Kenyetta Moorer, sixth-grade social studies teacher, St. Andrews Middle School
- Kimberly Williams, Advanced Academic Programs (AAP) math and reading teacher (grades 3-5), John P. Thomas Elementary School
- Calandra Witherspoon, first-grade teacher, Logan Elementary School

- Jennifer Crider, administrative assistant, Crayton Middle School
- Jabrie Drakes, campus monitor, Alcorn Middle School
- Anyiah Hugee, office assistant, C.A. Johnson High School
- April Smith, bookkeeper, Annie Burnside Elementary School
