Nine Columbia High Students Selected to Attend Appalachian State University’s Cannon Music Camp

Nine Columbia High School students were selected to attend Appalachian State University’s Cannon Music Camp. The camp was held June 21-July 12 on the university’s campus in Boone, North Carolina.

Cannon Music Camp offers intensive college preparatory work to rising ninth graders through graduating high school seniors and sets them up for success in auditions, college music study and their own musical passions.

Students engage in intensive musical study alongside peers from across the country, working with university professors and seasoned professionals in a variety of ensembles, classes and private lessons.

Rising senior Omari Rolle was selected for the "Citation of Excellence" award from Appalachian State’s Rho Tau Chapter of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, a professional music fraternity that advocates for the advancement of music in the United States and the development of musical leaders who serve their communities.

The nine Columbia High students who were selected for the camp are:
