Band Education

Throughout history, music has been present in all cultures.  The study in music in our schools facilitates aesthetic, social, emotional, and physical development in all students.  Music can provide a means of communication of cultural ideas, and can serve as an expression of and means for sociological and technological changes in society.

In Richland One, the goal for students enrolled in band classes is to develop a sense of respect for music and its creation, to display a sense of enjoyment when participating in music, and to use music as a means of personal expression.
