PARENTS AND STUDENTS SUCCEED (PASS)

pass_mainpic

PASS works to eliminate or reduce barriers to school enrollment and learning success for children experiencing homelessness. With a strong commitment to our students and families, we strive to aggressively address their needs through innovative programming.

The PASS office serves students and families experiencing homelessness in the following shelters located within the Richland One area:

  • Children's Garden
  • Family Shelter
  • Palmetto Place (unaccompanied youth shelter)
  • Sistercare
  • St. Lawrence Place
  • Hannah House

PASS operates an after-school tutorial program which is operated by certified district teachers in the six aforementioned homeless shelters. Students are tutored in small groups and provided individual learning experiences through computer-assisted integrated learning systems.
