2024-2025 Traditional Pre-K Registration (3K & 4K)
2024-2025 Prekindergarten Registration
Registration is OPEN for the 2024-2025 school year. Space is limited, so don't wait!
Registration Steps
To register your child for 3K or 4K, please complete the following steps:
- View a live or recorded parent information session (click here) and complete the survey
- Complete the New Student Registration (click here) online (choose the 2024-2025 school year)
- Submit all required documents to the office of school readiness (via 4k@richlandone.org or by visiting the office)
- Birth Certificate
- Proof of Income (Medicaid card or most recent pay stub)
- Any additional forms or documents that may be requested
- 4K - Complete the DIAL-4 Screening (After all steps above are completed, we will contact you to schedule)
3K - Complete the Parent Interview (After all steps above are completed, we will contact you to schedule)
If your child is accepted into the program, submit the following documents to your placement school:
- Immunization record (on SCDHEC form)
- Proof of residence (a mortgage or lease and one utility bill, or shared housing packet if applicable)
- Any additional forms or documents that may be requested
Special Note: If you are not a parent listed on the birth certificate, you may be required to obtain Educational Rights. Please visit the Registrar's Office website (click here) for more information.
Important Dates
- If all registration steps, including the DIAL-4 screening, are not complete by August 1, 2024, we cannot guarantee your child will start school on time.
*Montessori, Language Immersion, and the Carolina School for Inquiry have separate application processes. Please contact those departments for more information.*
After OSRPP registration steps are completed
NOTIFICATION of ACCEPTANCE
- The Office of School Readiness will review all submitted documents and applications for completion and will request immediate receipt of missing documents if needed.
- Once all OSRPP required documents have been received and the application is complete, parents will be notified via email if their child has been accepted into a program or placed on a waiting list. If a child has not been accepted and he/she is placed on a waiting list, a parent will be contacted should an open spot become available.
- Once an acceptance email is received, there are additional required documents to submit to your child's placement school which include:
