The Department of Elementary Education collaborates with schools and other departments to ensure that each child in grades K-5 has access to high quality curriculum and standards aligned instructional resources. 

Staff members within the Department of Elementary Education use current research to guide curriculum development, facilitate professional learning, provide coaching support to teachers and school leadership teams, develop instructional content frameworks, and support instruction.
