ETS® ParaPathways Assessment

 

ParaPathways Assessment

Richland One Adult Education administers the ParaPathways assessment. 

The assessment measures basic skills in reading, writing, and mathematics for individuals seeking to qualify as paraprofessionals in Richland School District One as well as other districts in the state of South Carolina. 

Scheduling

• State-issued photo ID: A valid, unexpired state-issued photo ID is required.
• Assessment Cost: $60, bring exact cash during testing appointment
• Testing time: Plan to remain for testing for at least 3 hours
• Calculator: The online test provides a four-function calculator
• Paper and pencil – All testers will be provided scratch paper to use during testing.

 

Scores for South Carolina

The ParaPathways assessment consists of two parts – Reading and Writing and Mathematics Passing is determined by the scores listed below.

 

Subject	Passing score (scale) {raw score}
Reading and Writing (5758)	Passing score 332 (scale 310–350), {raw score 28/45}
Mathematics  (5759)	Passing score 334 (scale 310–350), {raw score 20/30}

Retakes
If you do not pass one of the two subject areas, you only need to retake the subject that requires a retest.

• Retest fee: $30.00 per subject requiring a retest.
• Candidates may retake the assessment immediately.

 

Score Reports
Your unofficial scores will be displayed on screen at the end of your test, and a copy will be printed for you.

Your official score report will be posted in your ETS Para account and issued electronically to your designated score recipient approximately 2–3 weeks after your test date.  We will also provide you with 2 copies of your score report.
