I hope you are doing well during this time. The current situation has thrown us all for a loop with the cancellation of sports this spring and the uncertainty of what things will look like as the new school year begins. The South Carolina High School League will be setting new regulations on how schools are allowed to hold tryouts and practices with the COVID-19 virus. When these guidelines are presented to W.A. Perry, we will get a plan in place for our Fall Sports Season. One thing you can do at this time to prepare for the 2020-21 Athletic Season is to go ahead and get a valid physical from a healthcare provider. A valid physical is required to tryout or participate for all SCHSL teams. For a physical to be valid it has to be completed after April 1st, 2020. Download the physical form HERE.
I am reaching out to you to let you know about a good opportunity to get your son or daughter a sports physical for the 2020-2021 school year. Per the South Carolina High School League, all students participating in athletics for their school are required to have a sports physical completed and on file with their school. The physical from must be completed on the SCHSL physical form and completed by a trained professional.
Doctor’s Care is offering a $15 Sports Physical.
*Cash-pay promotional rate, K-12 sports and camp physicals only. Promotional pricing effective 4/1/20–7/31/20. Sports physicals are covered by insurance for Healthy Blue, Molina and Absolute Total Care members.
Once the physical is completed, it needs to be uploaded to PlanetHS (formerly Arbiter Athlete). Please make sure that all signatures and dates are written on the physicals when uploaded. Parents can combine their account with their students if they are under 13. Directions and other information on how to join are located HERE. We will be available to walk through this process.
I look forward to working with everyone this season. #GoEagles
