    Blue Jays,

    In these times of tremendous stress and hardship, please remember that we are here to help in any way we can. As your school counselor, I want to encourage students to continue to read daily and complete all assignments. Completed assignments for weeks 1 and 2 will be collected tomorrow, Friday, May 8, 2020, from 10am-12pm. Please contact me at rory.washington@richlandone.org if I can be of any assistance.

    ACTIVITY
    Be Grateful: Take a quiet, calming moment to think about who and what you are grateful for. Write about something or someone you are grateful for with this activity. In your writing, describe: • Who or what you are grateful for. • Why you are grateful for that person, place, or moment. • How it feels to be grateful. This can make a great mother’s day gift; write about your mother, aunt, grandmother or mother-figure in your lives and give it to that person.

    • OWN YOUR POWER: Learn how to bring power back into yourself with your breath and your body in this calming video.

    We miss you Blue Jays!

    As your school counselor, I want you to know that while we are not physically there right now the same people who have been there to support you are still here. I would like to encourage you to enjoy this time with your family, continue to read daily and complete all assignments.
