Richland One Adult Education ESL Program is an exciting place to be! Students are learning to listen, speak, read, and write English.

This is happening because the program:

    • Uses university trained teachers
    • Gives placement tests to ensure each student is getting the best education
    • Provides students access to quality textbooks, computers, interactive boards, and iPads
    • Teaches American culture through special speakers, field trips, and holiday celebrations
    • Qualifies for the Deferred Action Program
    • Helps English Language Learners reach their GED goals
    • Prepares students for the U.S. citizenship interview

Here are some things the students are saying:

"I like this English class.  I met very good friends and teacher in my class.  We are improving our English.  English was very hard for me but I enjoy studying English now." - A student from Asia.

"I'm very satisfied with these English classes.  I tried other classes, but they weren't the same.  Here I know I'll learn." -A student from South America.

"When I first came here, I couldn't understand any English. I started going to English class and it helped me a lot. Now I feel comfortable in America." -A student from South America
