Coach Bush

Candace Bush is a 2002 graduate of Fairfield Central High School, in Winnsboro SC. In 2007 she received her B.S. in Physical Education from the University of South Carolina Upstate, and later received her M.Ed. in Athletic Coaching and a M.Ed. in Educational Leadership, from Northcentral University.

Bush has been at W. G. Sanders Middle School for 5 years. Prior to arriving at W. G. Sanders, she worked as a Physical Education teacher and Coach in Fairfield County School District for 8 years. While coaching at Fairfield Central High School, she was the Head Volleyball Coach (2007-2010), JV Girls Basketball Coach (2007-2010), and Head/Assistant Girls Track Coach (2008-2015). As the Head Volleyball Coach she was given the task of turning a 3 year winless program around. In her second season, the Volleyball team was a region competitor, and made it to the first round of the state playoffs for the next 2 years. As the JV Girls Basketball Coach she had a combined 4 year record of 45-21, and clinched 2 JV Region Championships. She also produced many state championship qualifiers during her 8 year stint as a Track Coach.

Bush’s roles at W. G. Sanders Middle School has included: Athletic Coordinator, Girls Basketball Coach, Volleyball Coach, and Track Coach. She is currently the school’s Athletic Coordinator and Girls Basketball Coach, through the 2018-2019 season she has a combined 4 year record of 45-10, with one District Championship and one District Runner-Up title.
