• Richland One Hall of Fame 2015 Inductees

     

    The Richland One Hall of Fame was created to recognize Richland One alumni and other persons throughout the district’s history who have made significant contributions to Richland One, their communities, their professions and society as a whole. Induction into the Richland One Hall of Fame is the highest honor bestowed upon individuals by the Richland One Board of School Commissioners. Forty-one persons have been inducted since the Hall of Fame was established in 2004.

     

    The six members of the 2015 Richland One Hall of Fame induction class are:

        Dr. Raymond Bynoe, a 1971 graduate of A.C. Flora High School who
    is a trauma surgeon and an associate professor with the University of
    South Carolina School of Medicine’s Department of Surgery;
         
     card   Jean Margaret Smith Card, a 1982 graduate of Dreher High School
    who is the senior vice president for public affairs and administration
    for the Kids & Family Group, a division of Viacom Media Networks;
         
     donald   Yvonne E. Donald, a 1975 graduate of C.A. Johnson High School who
    serves as deputy director of the James R. Clark Memorial Sickle Cell
    Foundation in Columbia;
         
     fetner   Charles “Charlie” William Fetner, a 1947 graduate of Columbia High
    School who served as a councilman for the City of Forest Acres from
    1977 until his death in 2013;
         
     floyd   Gerald Floyd, a native of Lake City, South Carolina who taught English,
    speech and dramatics at A.C. Flora High School and taught English at
    Dreher High School, retiring in 2003 after 43 years in the district; and
         
    white     Harold “Coach” White, a 1958 graduate of C.A. Johnson High School
    whose 44-year career in teaching and coaching included 36 years at
    the University of South Carolina, where he was the university’s first
    African-American coach.
