Mrs. Latayna Williams
Mrs. Williams is a native of Kings Mountain, North Carolina. She attended North Carolina Central University in Durham, North Carolina and graduated with a degree in Political Science with a minor in Public Administration. She later obtained a Masters degree in School Administration from Gardner- Webb University.
She began her teaching career in Charlotte Mecklenburg School in 1997 as a 6th grade history teacher and she also worked as the head volleyball coach. After teaching in Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools, she taught and coached basketball at her alma mater, Kings Mountain High School. She also served as a team leader and curriculum leader.
In 2007, Mrs. Williams moved to Columbia, South Carolina to work as a social studies teacher at W.G. Sanders Middle School. She later joined Orangeburg- Wilkinson High School as an assistant principal. Currently, she is an assistant principal at W.J. Keenan High School.
Mrs. Williams enjoys watching and attending sporting events, reading, helping others and spending time with family.
