  • A Message from the Principal

This month, we celebrate many persons! What an honor it is to be able to recognize and salute those men and women who have sacrificed so much for us. Next Friday, we will have our Veterans’ Day assembly at 9:00am. We hope you plan to join us! We also celebrate American Education Week, recognizing all of our stakeholders, to include our teachers, students, bus drivers, cafeteria workers, and our custodians! American Education Week will be celebrated the week of November 13th. And lastly, we celebrate Thanksgiving Day with a three day break, Nov. 22-24th.

Don’t forget to set your clocks back one hour this Saturday night as Daylight Savings Time ends. We want to see our Cougars here on time for school on Monday morning.

As the holiday season nears, lots of excitement comes with it. We must continue to remind our students that “teaching and learning” remains a priority for us here at school.

Next week, we will kick off our Canned Food drive. So be on the lookout! We will be collecting canned goods and dried foods. All items collected will benefit families in our community. We appreciate all that you do!

A huge THANKS to all our parents that came out for parent conferences on yesterday and those of you who came again this morning for our 1st 9 weeks assembly. Thanks for the time you take to show your children that you care about them and their education.

Our PTO Worlds’ Finest Chocolate sale has ended. The candy will be delivered soon. Thanks for your support. We will share the amount raised at our next PTO meeting which is scheduled for Monday, November 13th at 5:30pm. We will be giving out gift cards to the first 20 parents. Please plan to attend. Light refreshments will also be provided.

A reminder that Hyatt Park is a uniform school. Students that wear their uniforms are recognized and celebrated. Please let us know if you are interested in participating in a uniform swap.

Believe it or not, there are only 13 days left before we leave for the Thanksgiving holiday, which begins on Wednesday, November 22nd , and December will be here before we know it!

Please come in to volunteer whenever you can, we’d love to have you.

Hyatt Park and YOU: one team, one mission, one goal!
