Dear Families of Hyatt Park Elementary School,
On behalf of all of the staff at Hyatt Park, it is indeed my pleasure to welcome you to a new and exciting school year. For those of you whose students have attended our school in the past, we are so glad to have you returning. For those of you whose children are just entering Hyatt Park, we are pleased to have you as a part of our Cougar family!
Let me also take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Danielle Reilly, and I am honored to serve as your new principal. I look forward to meeting each of you very soon. My family and I have lived in Lugoff, SC, for the past ten years. I have spent the past 5 years serving as the Assistant Principal for Curriculum and Instruction at Eau Claire High School. I have previously lived in Washington State and New Jersey, where I served as a special education teacher at the secondary level, teaching students with disabilities in English, Math, and Social Studies. I am proud to say this is my 15th year in education, and I love working with the children and families living in the 29203 area!
During these past few weeks, Dr. Brabham, has mentored me and she has emphasized that the core values at Hyatt Park are centered on academic achievement, character development, commitment to safety, and a sense of belonging and community. These are clearly high priorities for the students attending Hyatt Park Elementary School. Please be assured of my commitment to honoring your accomplishments and my hope of contributing to even greater success in the future for the students attending this school.
Our first newsletter will be sent home towards the end of July. Plan to take some time reviewing the newsletter, as it will provide you with important information regarding upcoming events, school procedure updates, and parent and community activities. Going forward, all stakeholders will be committed to communicating with our parents and family members through a school wide Classroom Dojo application. Directions will be sent home during the first weeks of school. I also encourage you to follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
Again, I want to welcome all of you to what we hope will be your best school year yet. Please do not hesitate to stop by the office or to give us a call if we can assist you in any way. Best wishes to you and your family. You all are “Cougariffic!”
