  • A Message From the Principal
    principal

A new year has begun at the Burnside Beehive, and with it comes new opportunities, expectations, and ambitions.

Dreams are catching, developed, and can really come true if they are exposed.  At the Beehive, we work together with parents and other stakeholders to inspire our children and help them become DREAM MAKERS AND CREATORS. We want to provide a welcoming, accepting, and loving environment in which kids may learn while also gaining an appreciation for other cultures.

We are advocates for providing a secure and supportive atmosphere for all of our employees, community members, and most importantly, our students. We accept the responsibility and task to educate and develop them into responsible young adults, and there is much evidence that we are SUCCEEDING!

We are going to prove that WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS by using our Learner Dispositions of Perseverance, Resilience, and Growth Mindset to make this a Winning Year.

  • Mr. Thomas Cayruth

Welcome Thomas Cayruth, our new Assistant Principal

Hello Burnside Bees!  My name is Thomas Cayruth and I am very excited to have the pleasure of serving the students as well as the community as your Assistant Principal.  I earned my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Newberry College.  I also earned my master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Capella University.  I’ve had the opportunity to teach 2nd and 4th grade over the course of 8 years in Richland Two, Richland One, and more recently, Pickens County school district.  I am married to my wife, Chantelle Cayruth, and we have a beautiful daughter named Aria.  I truly believe that all teachers and students can be successful when their environment is conducive to teaching and learning.  As your new Assistant Principal, I will strive to support our principal in continuing to create an environment where all teachers and students can thrive.
