    Palmetto Girls State is a summer program for female students who will be entering their senior year next year.  This year’s program will be held on the campus of Presbyterian College from June 9-15.  The program is designed to introduce students to government and citizenship as they participate in mock activities at the municipal, county, and state government levels.  Students can read more about the program at www.palmettogirlsstate.net.  
     
    The American Legion Auxiliary sponsors the program and makes the determination of which students from Dreher can serve as delegates.  Two students from Dreher will be selected, and the cost to students is $340.  If you would like to be considered to attend Girls State as a delegate, please complete the application below and return to Mr. Kevin Kirkley in the counseling office no later than February 21, 2024.  Printed copies of the application are also available in the counseling office.
