Important message for parents of freshmen from Ms. Asouzu, ninth grade Assistant Principal:

Ninth Grade students will attend a District Wide meeting on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, and Thursday, January 19, 2023, at 9:00 AM - 11:15 AM. All high school freshmen will attend a class meeting at Eau Claire HS. Students will not attend both days. The girls will attend on Wednesday and the boys on Thursday. The meeting will cover the following topics:

• Improving Decision Making
• Paying for College Without Loans 
• Your Life is Like a Pearl
• Life After High School, Is Determined In High School
• Rapping is More Than a Performance, It’s An Industry (Don’t Get Played)
• Talent Gets You In The Door – Character Keeps You Inside the Door!

The school will provide transportation for students and a bag lunch. Buses will depart Dreher at 8:30 AM and return at 11:30 AM, in time for the third Block. Students' absences will be excused, and they will have an opportunity to make up any assignments that will be missed during this time.

If you give your child permission to attend, please complete the permission form below and return it via email to ariel.asouzu@richlandone.org. Forms can also be printed and returned to the counseling department. All permission forms must be turned in by Friday, January 13, 2023. No late forms will be accepted.
