Showcase Submission Guide

- Read through this showcase packet:
- In this packet, you’ll find materials to guide student work, including:
- A rhyme writing graphic organizer
- A rubric for student submissions
- Have each student choose a topic based on curricular goals and interest.
- Have each student write a poem, rap, or spoken word composition about their selected topic.
- When paired with a corresponding Flocabulary lesson students can use Flocabulary Lyric Lab to write their composition.
- Students can save their completed compositions as a PDF by clicking the export icon in the top right corner.
- For offline access, students can use the Writing Rhymes Graphic Organizer included at the bottom of this page.
- If students need help with their composition, the following Flocabulary lessons can be used for inspiration and tips:

- Foreign Language entries accepted.
- Entries submitted in a language other than English will require teachers to submit student compositions with translations sce@richlandone.org.
- Translations will be used to create closed captioning on the video entries.
- Please keep the following in mind:
- Poem, rap, or spoken word performance should be an original student work.
- If multiple submissions are received from the same entrant, the most recent submission will be used.
- Use the showcase submission page for your grade level to submit student entries via Flipgrid by 11:59 EST on April 29, 2022.
- Special Recognition will be provided to the entry with the most Flipgrid "views", the most Flipgrid "likes", and the entry that best satisfies the provided rubric.
