MEBA "Teachers in the Workplace"
Annie Dickerson, Heyward Career and Technology Center, worked with the Ritedose Corporation (TRC).
Connie King, Alcorn Middle School, worked with Nucor Building group.
The teachers participated in a 40-hour internship. They were assigned to different businesses to learn more about the company, career opportunities available at the company, how they can align their curriculum to industry needs, and what employers look for in our students. They all had a great time of learning and career exposure and made new partners for their classrooms moving forward. These educators are to be commended for their dedication to their craft. They represented Richland One and the Midlands with the upmost professionalism.
2024 CTE Leadership Institute III
The goal of the CTE Leadership Institute III is to strengthen professional growth as leaders, improve coaching skills/behaviors to better lead others, enhance our community of learning and the way we live/work together as educators, foster more inclusive ways of instruction, take the culture of work forward as we look at challenges within our own classes and schools, and move our district’s CTE programs to a higher platform in a more united effort.
