• 2022-2023 Prekindergarten Registration

    Pre-K Registration Begins Dec. 13, 2021
    Unless you are the legal parent or guardian listed on an original birth certificate or have
    educational rights, you CANNOT register a child or complete the application process.
    Please contact the Registrar's Office for more information.


    • View live or recorded parent information session and complete the survey
    • Complete the Pre-K Application online (Opens Dec. 13)
    • Complete the New Student Registration online (Opens Dec. 13)
    • Submit all required documents to the Office of School Readiness
      (via email to Pre-K Email Address or bring documents to the office)
      • Birth Certificate
      • Proof of Income (Medicaid Card or most recent pay stub)
      • Any additional forms that may be requested
    • Complete the DIAL-4 Screening (Sign up now!)
    • Once acceptance letter is received, submit the following documents listed below to your child's zoned school:
      • Child's Immunization Form
      • Proof of Residence (a mortgage or lease and a utility bill)
      • Shared Housing (if applicable)

    Important Dates

    *Montessori, Language Immersion, and the Carolina School for Inquiry have separate application processes. Please contact those departments for more information.*

    After OSRPP registration steps are completed


    • The Office of School Readiness will review all submitted documents and applications for completion and will request immediate receipt of missing documents if needed. 
    • Once all OSRPP required documents have been received and the application is complete, parents will be notified via email if his/her child has been accepted into a program or placed on a waiting list. If a child has not been accepted and he/she is placed on a waiting list, a parent will be contacted should an opening spot become available. 
    • Once an acceptance email is received, there are additional required documents to submit to your child's zoned school which include:
      • Child's Immunization Form
      • Proof of Residence (a mortgage or lease document and a utility bill)
      • Shared Housing (if applicable)

    (Attended 3K program in Richalnd One-registering for 4K program)

    • Students who attended the 3K program at Gadsden for the previous year (2021-2022), will have a simplified process for 4K registration.
    • ONLY ZONED GADSDEN students can attend the Gadsden 4K program (if accepted)
    • Students who attended the 3K program at Gadsden, and who are NOT ZONED for Gadsden may register ONLY FOR THE R1 SCHOOL in which the child is ZONED
      The following registration steps are as listed:
      • Complete the Pre-K Application online
      • Complete the Returning Student Enrollment Verification through the Registrar's Office
      • Attend DIAL-4 screening (we will contact a parent to schedule)
